MarecBau has been building, renovating and finishing homes across the Gooi region since 2000. We're a small, owner-led team — every project carries the same hands that will be installing it. Twenty-five years in, we've learned which corners can be cut (none of them) and which details turn an ordinary renovation into a place worth coming home to.
What We Build
Structural construction and full renovations are the spine of the business. We work on luxury apartments, single-family homes and small commercial spaces — drawings to keys, including the demolition, the framing, the wet trades and the snag list at the end. When clients want a turnkey project we manage the schedule and the subs ourselves; nothing leaves a site half-finished.
Finishing work is where most of our reputation lives. Large-format porcelain (Laminam, Maxfine, Florim Magnum), book-matched calacatta, hard-stone bathrooms, joinery to the millimetre. The installations behind those finishes matter just as much — Fermacell dry underfloor heating systems, modulating CV-boilers, balanced ventilation and the smart-home wiring that makes them work as one.
Where We Work
Our home base covers Hilversum, Blaricum, Huizen, Baarn, Amsterdam and Utrecht, and we'll travel within roughly fifty kilometres of the Gooi for the right project. Working in this radius means we can be on site quickly when something needs a same-day decision, and our suppliers and subs know us well enough to give us proper attention.
How We Work
Every install carries a written warranty. We standardise on professional-grade tooling — Bosch, Festool, DeWalt, Makita, Mirka — because the tolerances we hold ourselves to don't forgive mid-grade kit. We'd rather under-promise the timeline and over-deliver on the finish than the other way around. If you want the math behind any of it, ask; we'll send the spec sheets, the load calcs and the supplier quotes.
